New economy models and social innovation: an opportunity for a better Europe

The European Economic and Social Committee (EESC), the New Economy and Social Innovation (NESI) Global Forum and the Global Hub for the Common Good have joined forces to enrich the European debate with input from communities directly involved in the collaborative, circular and functional economies.

 

On 16 February, the EESC brought together representatives from the public and private sectors to explore the opportunities the new economies present for the EU. Themed New Economy Models and Social Innovation: an opportunity for a better Europe, the event aimed to contribute towards the dialogue between the European Commission and civil society and to the shaping of EU legislation in these areas.

21. februarja ob 11.30 bo dijake iz Škofijske gimnazije Vipava obiskal Primož Šporar, član Evropskega ekonomsko-socialnega odbora, da bi jih pripravil na dogodek Vaša Evropa, vaš glas. Gre za evropsko skupščino mladih, ki združuje 33 šol iz držav EU in iz držav kandidatk za vstop v EU v razpravi o prihodnosti Evrope. Sestala se bo 30. in 31. marca 2017 na sedežu EESO v Bruslju.

Il prossimo 18 febbraio, alle ore 10.30, gli studenti dell'Istituto tecnico commerciale Antonio Zanon di  Udine riceveranno la visita di Emilio Fatovic, friulano, membro del Comitato economico e sociale europeo (CESE), che li aiuterà a prepararsi all'evento Your Europe, Your Say 2017 (YEYS - La vostra Europa, la vostra opinione). YEYS permetterà agli studenti di 33 istituti secondari di tutta l'UE e dei paesi candidati di riunirsi in sessione plenaria presso la sede del CESE a Bruxelles, il 30 e 31 marzo, per discutere sul futuro dell'Europa.

The situation of refugees and migrants with disabilities

"We are morally and legally obliged to welcome and integrate refugees into our societies, and especially those with disabilities, with solidarity and in a humane way", declared the EESC president at the opening of the public hearing on The situation of refugees and migrants with disabilities, alongside the president of the EESC Permanent Study Group on Disability Rights, Irena Petraitienė, and representatives from the Maltese government and the European Commission.

Ученици от Плевенската езикова гимназия ще представят младите хора от България като дадат своето мнение за бъдещето на Европа

На 17 март, ученици от Профилираната гимназия с преподаване на чужди езици в Плевен ще бъдат посетени от Димитър Манолов и Веселин Митов, членове на Европейския икономически и социален комитет, за да се подготвят за участието си в „Твоята Европа, твоето мнение“ (YEYS). „Твоята Европа, твоето мнение“ е европейска младежка асамблея, която събира 33 училища от ЕС и страните кандидатки, за да обсъдят бъдещето на Европа. Тя ще се проведе в сградата на ЕИСК в Брюксел на 30 и 31 март 2017 г.
