8/10 - YEYS is launched!

Your Europe, Your Say! was launched in 2010 by the EESC to give the floor to young people from all over Europe.

EESC stands for the European Economic and Social Committee, the voice of civil society in Europe. The EESC is keen to discover how people under 18 years of age see their future and the future of our society.

For the YEYS event, 99 secondary school students will be invited to Brussels to discuss an important topic and to make their own proposals to Europe on issues ranging from education, employment and the environment to equal opportunities, culture and migration.

2019 will be an election year and the new European Parliament will have very important decisions to make, at a time when everything from the economy to communication and from politics to social trends are being revolutionised on a daily basis.

How do you, as a young person, view these changes, and the opportunities and potential risks they bring, and what future solutions might you have to offer?

If you want to discuss these issues with other students from 33 countries, why not take part in YEYS 2019 by sharing your vision and celebrating with us the 10th anniversary of this event?

Please ask your teachers to fill in the application form and to return it to us by 18 November 2018. You might well be selected and, who knows, perhaps the next ideas on the agenda will be your ideas!
