The European Semester provides a framework for the coordination of economic policies across the European Union. The European Economic and Social Committee (EESC), in cooperation with the ESC of Greece, organized a debate on the European Semester entitled “The European Semester: Ηow the organised civil society takes stock and sets out prospects for it”.
The event in Athens gave the opportunity to the organized civil society in Greece to participate in the process of the European Semester and to discuss the Country Specific Recommendations published by the European Commission on June 5, 2019.
The event was opened by the President of the EESC, Mr. Luca Jahier.
