The Commission for Labour, Incomes, Living Standard and Industrial Relationships of the Economic and Social Council (ESC) discussed a draft opinion on the Future of Labour: Fourth Industrial Revolution Challenges. By this act the ESC will participate in the debate on the advantages and challenges of the fourth industrial revolution challenges. The opinion presents the processes born by the rapid development of new technologies which embraces all areas of life. The focus of the document is the effect of these processes on the labour and the environment where the labour market will operate in the future. Rapporteur on the opinion is the President of the Confederation of Independent Trade Unions in Bulgaria Plamen Dimitrov who is also an ESC member and Chairman of the ESC Commission.
The draft opinion will be discussed by the ESC Plenary Session in the near future.
