Open Day of the European Institutions

Together with the other EU institutions in Brussels, the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) opened its doors on Saturday 4 May in celebration of Europe Day. This year the Open Day was about choosing your future: the European elections on 23-26 May are your chance to have a say on who makes big decisions that affect your daily life. Pledge to vote and take responsibility for the future at thistimeimvoting.eu!

The EESC Open Day is a unique opportunity for citizens to discover the work of the only institution representing organised civil society, like employers, workers and other interest groups such as professional and community associations, youth organisations, women's groups, consumers, environmentalists and many more.

Throughout the day, visitors had the opportunity to exchange views with the EESC members on the coming elections and the future of Europe, as well as on the role of the EESC in the European decision-making process. Furthermore, interactive games on the EU and the EESC, fun activities, live music and refreshments were provided.
