To secure a more prosperous future for their citizens, Western Balkan governments need to address the problems encountered by young people, who hold the key to such a future. Sufficient and transparent budget allocations for youth policy development and the inclusion of young people in the EU accession process are a prerequisite for facilitating positive changes and improving the situation of young people in the region.

Европейският икономически и социален комитет (ЕИСК) привлича вниманието върху възможностите, които предлага цифровата революция, но предупреждава и за заплахите: ако бъдат приложени твърде бързо, цифровите решения биха могли да доведат до изключване на голяма част от населението на ЕС. Цифровите технологии не трябва да заменят ролята на хората, а по-скоро да я допълват, като същевременно трябва да бъдат приобщаващи и да защитават уязвимите групи като възрастните хора.

In an exploratory opinion, the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) insists on the importance of coordinated European legislation establishing tax rates for digital service companies.
