  • Le Comité économique et social européen organisera la quatrième édition de sa conférence sur la précarité énergétique le 26 juin à Bruxelles. Cette manifestation s’inscrit dans le prolongement des conférences qu’il a organisées en 2021, 2022 et 2023 sur les thèmes «La précarité énergétique à la croisée des chemins entre le socle européen des droits sociaux et le pacte vert pour l’Europe», «Lutter contre la précarité énergétique au cœur de la transition écologique et énergétique» et «Lutter contre la précarité énergétique pour une transition juste». La conférence intitulée «Une énergie abordable — Donner corps aux idées de la société civile» réunira des représentants des institutions de l’Union européenne, des acteurs locaux et des organisations de la société civile des 27 États membres de l’UE.

    The objective of the conference is to build on the European Economic Security Strategy towards forward-looking strategic planning based on the assessment of threats, risks and vulnerabilities. In this respect, the focus will be on energy supply at stable, predictable and affordable prices which comes from sustainable sources, as a cornerstone for European industrial competitiveness. The need for a sustainable energy mix and energy systems, including solutions for storage of energy from renewable sources, are amongst the main factors that will determine European competitiveness in the years to come.
