Highlights of the conference on "The European Union moving towards a European energy community" organised on 31 January 2012 by the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) and the Notre Europe think-tank  which brought together politicians and representatives of civil society with the aim to drive forward a long-term dynamic process in favour of joint advances on energy questions at European level and, finally, of a European energy community.
