For the third year in a row, on 26-28 April, the European Economic and Social Committee will be staging a mock plenary session for pupils and teachers from across the continent. They will come to Brussels to discuss the upcoming Rio +20 summit on sustainable development. To prepare for this special plenary session, 27 EESC members are now setting out for schools in various EU countries to talk about Europe. The participating schools were selected at random from a thousand or so applications.
