On September 13, the Czech EESC members were received by the Czech Senate's Committee for European Affairs. This meeting was a follow-up to the Czech EESC members' meeting with the Senate's President Milan Stech in 2011, and it was chaired by the Committee for European Affairs' President Ludek Sefzig. During the discussion several topics were covered, such as new powers of the Senate under the Lisbon Treaty, the further political orientation and architecture of the EU, future development of the EU's internal market and the EU budget. The Czech EESC members presented the EESC and its views on these topics. Possibilities for concrete cooperation in the future were also discussed.
