The Single Market Observatory (SMO) has organised a public hearing in Budapest in order to collect viewpoints of the Hungarian civil society organisations and engage in a dialogue on their priorities, their recommendations and indeed on the measures proposed by the European Commission's Single Market Act. The SMO presented its draft opinion on the occasion of a lively debate in which 150 stakeholders participated.

Staffan Nilsson, President of the European Economic and Social Committee, attended the event. Janós Tóth, vice-president of the Hungarian Economic and Social Council, and Tamás Halm, Secretary general, also took part in the hearing.
