In 2012, the United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon started preparations for the Post-2015 framework, which will implement the outcomes of the Rio+20 Conference and build on the Millennium Development Goals. The Post-2015 process presents a unique opportunity to address poverty eradication and sustainable development in one single and universal set of Sustainable Development Goals.

The event will provide briefing on latest news and developments from the Open Working Group on Sustainable Development Goals and give regional level Major Groups and other stakeholders the opportunity to contribute with their priorities and offer their regional perspectives.
