On 21 September 2011, Anna Maria Darmanin, EESC Vice-President, awarded the prizes to the winners of the EESC Design Eleven competition. The award ceremony was attended by EESC members, staff as well as external guests. Virginia Tassinari, CUMULUS, and Max Godefroid, Adviser of the Minister of Culture of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, Museums, Cultural heritage, Visual arts, Architecture and Design sectors made in interventions on the importance of design in a societal context. Giovanna Massoni, design expert and adviser to EESC Design Eleven interviewed the winners about their products. The exhibition was opened by Ms Darmanin and can be seen in Foyer 6 until 21 October 2011.
