Consumers and Environment Category (CEC)

The Consumers and Environment Category (CEC) represents the points of view of these two sectors in the EESC. The interest of the demand side needs to be taken into account in all relevant recommendations and reports. The know-how and expertise of European consumer and environmental organisations and the policies of the consumer and environmental movement must be integrated into the decisions of the EU. The market needs a balanced influence by suppliers and consumers in European regulation.

The CEC currently has 20 members.
